Job Description - Key Account Manager


To support our company’s expansion in the German Market and to undertake new challenges and opportunities, we are looking for a Key Account Manager for Germany.


The role reports into the VP Europe, but also works closely with the regional sales leader and Marketing Manager for alignment of programs and initiatives to achieve regional goals.

This position is responsible for developing sales channels and implementing programs that drive pipeline and brand awareness, creating demand within the German market, supporting channel and partner sales initiatives, and motivating the channels to sell YI products.

Working as part of the German Team, the Key Account Manager should have in-depth understanding of the customer strategy in the country and define an account strategy that drives profitable growth opportunities as well as operationally managing the execution.


The selected candidate will be asked to:


  • Develop sales strategies to maximize the sales opportunities reaching the targets and goals
  • Promote the complete product range of YI Technology to the clients though persuasive presentations and defining service offers
  • Identify customer key needs, adapt at best our offer and ensure the coordination with internal resources (legal, customer technical support, supply chain, marketing, customer care)
  • Identify and develop cross-product opportunities
  • Negotiate trade conditions with clients in accordance with rules defined with the Country Manager
  • Increase and improve the direct customer relationships and have a strong presence at all levels of the organization of key accounts
  • Manage and secure the sell-out of our customers
  • Define the sales forecast plan and compile and analyze sales figures
  • Monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities
  • Represent YI Technology at international events to promote products



Interested in this role? Do you have:



  • A Master/Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Sales, Business Administration or in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Consumer Electronics industry
  • A proven track record of managing National Accounts in open market and e-commerce
  • Successfully sold consumer electronic goods to regular retail channels as well as mobile network operators and DIY hardware stores.
  • The ability to quickly build and maintain strategic relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen with a holistic view and understanding of the business
  • The ability to create and implement sustainable business planning
  • German native speaker capabilities and fluent English language skills
  • A high level of self-motivation
